Yukon or bust!

I am starting this blog to document our road trip from Ontario to the Yukon with our infant son Jasper.  We don't actually leave until August 1*, so the first few posts will be about planning the trip and the trial runs we do in the lead-up.  I haven't been able to find many helpful resources online for this kind of travel with a baby, so maybe I can help someone else out who may have a similar trip in mind.

According to Google Maps, the trip from our house in Kincardine to Whitehorse is 5342km and will take 52 hours (without traffic). People have told us we're crazy to go on such a trip with a baby, and maybe we are!  Life with a new baby is challenging, rewarding, and can also be pretty tedious. There will still be nighttime feedings and tons of dirty diapers to change, but why not explore our beautiful country while we're at it?
Ready for his first road trip, home from the hospital.
I kept a blog when I traveled to Europe last year and I found it really helped me to remember to document the experience.  Hopefully this blog will also satisfy the Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles and their need for pictures of little Jasper.

*If you are reading this and would like to rob our house while we're away: 1) we don't have nice things and 2) Serbian Steve still lives in the basement.
