Day 11- Rainy day scavenger hunt

It was another rainy day in Lucca, so I prepared a scavenger hunt for the kids to complete within the wall. Each kid got a list, an adult partner and 7 Euro, and off they went. It ended up being much rainier than I expected. Everyone was pretty soggy by the end.

A few of the items included, stand on the wall:

Buy a treat at a forno (bakery):
Buy a piece of fruit at a fruit shop:
Find a fountain:
Go down a slide:
Look for fish in the canal:
Find a 3 wheeled vehicle:
Visit Piazza Napoleone (there was supposed to be a merry-go round there, it is an ice rink in winter):
Visit Piazza San Michele:
Find Torre del Ore:
Visit Piazza dell'Anfitetro
Find a Vespa:
Find a stray cat:
Later in the afternoon, we rented bikes again for a tour of the wall. It was a pretty rainy tour, but the kids had fun.
We went back to the same bike rental shop, so the kids got the same bikes, except that Ellis and I shared a tandem this time and Pat had his own bike. We also got the kids helmets this time.
Jasper and Ellis made it twice around the wall (about 8km) in the hour rental, and Oscar went out and back with Grandma. Not a bad rainy day.
