Today was a long train travel day from Lucca to Venice. It was a beautiful sunny morning in Lucca, so we stopped at the park on the way to the train station.
Jasper and Grandpa played some soccer, while Ellis and Oscar swung on the swings.
We tried to keep Penny relatively clean and dry before the train journey, by not letting her crawl around in the mud and wet grass.
We took two trains, with a transfer in Florence and a picnic lunch out in front of the Florence train station.
By the time we arrived in Venice, everyone was tired and pretty grouchy.
I managed to get us to our AirBnb, even when the directions took us through a tunnel and down a path barely big enough for a suitcase.
After check in, Pat found the World Cup on TV and a few went out for a groceries mission. Ellis made puppets out of Pat's socks and put on a show for Penny.
It was early to bed tonight to get ready for some exploring of Venice tomorrow.
