This morning, we had an early start to catch a ferry from Tenerife to Gran Canaria, so we said goodbye to our house on the hill Jasper's avocado farm and motorcycle.
We gave ourselves lots of time to get to the ferry, so the kids had fun exploring the cafe in the ferry terminal. Ellis walked her longest stretch yet in the middle of the terminal, about 15-20 steps. She is looking more and more toddler-like every day.
The ferry ride was about an hour and a half, and after a little bit of colouring, both kids slept the whole way.
Once in Gran Canaria, our first stop was a shopping mall for 100 Montaditos and some groceries. The mall was packed with shoppers in full Christmas mode. Today was a public holiday in Spain, the Dia de la Constitution.
Of course, Jasper had to stop and try out some of the ride on trucks and cars in the mall.
We had a bit of trouble finding our new AirBnb house, way up in the hills of central Gran Canaria. It's another interesting rural property that we will explore tomorrow.
Our main successes tonight were figuring out how to turn on the heat in the house (it's chilly up at this elevation), and turn on the internet. Now the kids are sleeping and it's time for another sherry tasting!
