Day 14: Santa Maria de Colombo

Today we took the kids on a boat tour on the Santa Maria de Colombo, a replica of Columbus' ship.
It was a beautiful hot and sunny day for a boat ride to see dolphins and up the coast. Ellis and Jasper made lots of friends with the French and Finnish people on the boat.
There was even a real parrot on the ship! We saw hundreds of spotted dolphins jumping together. Jasper asked if they were real dolphins.
The boat turned around at Cabo Girao, right underneath the glass floor that we had visited last week.
We had a chance to jump off the boat to go for a quick swim.
Pat and the kids watched while I went for a dip.
Once all the other passengers left, Jasper got to try driving the boat. It's a bit bigger than Grandad's boat!
Jasper was very good on the boat, plus it is our last day here so we shared some ice cream for a treat.
Back at the house, the kids went for a swim in the blow up pool on the terrace.
We laughed when Great Grannie brought that in her suitcase, but the kids have had a blast in that little pool. We may even try to fit it into our bag to use in Cadiz.
We were lucky to have a great sunset tonight from our house for our last night on the island.
