Day 30: Arroz school lunch

This afternoon we went out for vegetarian arroz with some fellow students from Gadir Spanish school. The dish is just like paella, but apparently it can only be called paella if it is a Valencian specialty that contains certain types of  meats and vegetables.
The lunch was at 3 pm, which kind of threw off our regular routine for the day. I packed us a picnic lunch for the kids to eat earlier but it fell out of the stroller somewhere on the streets of Cadiz.
It was also very windy today, and when Pat went back to the house to get sweaters for everyone, he didn't have a key with him. The morning was a comedy of errors that ended with Jasper eating a rushed cheeseburger at Burger King and then us power walking to meet the group to go for lunch.
After the meal, we took the kids to a nearby park that we hadn't been to yet. Jasper had fun pushing Ellis on the swing. It was fun until she turned around too far and nearly fell out one of the leg holes.
Jasper also pretended that the playground house was a boat, and wanted Ellis to come aboard his boat while he drove. He sure has an active imagination.
Tonight's (made-up) bedtime story involved a family of tigers hiking through a forest searching for rainbow-coloured shrimps. He has been fascinated by shrimps ever since he saw them in the market and Pat took him to try a shrimp cake. He pronounces it "ch-rimps", it is pretty funny.
He also insisted that Pat a picture of his yoga pose, above. What a funny kid!
