Today on the way home from school, I took the kids to the Museo del Titere (puppetry museum). Jasper had asked to go to another museum, and this one was free and nearby.
There were puppets from all over the world, and luckily Jasper couldn't ask "what's that?" too much, because every single artifact was a puppet.
There was every kind of puppet imaginable from creepy giant puppets to tiny little finger puppets. Jasper had a pretty rough day where he struggled with listening, but this museum kept him occupied and happy for about an hour.
Later in the afternoon we went to a french bakery/ cafe near our apartment. Jasper and Pat had been there before to get treats, and all of the staff know Jasper by name.
The store owners just adore Jasper. They think he looks like their son as a baby. I think they also like to be able to speak some French to us. We ordered Jasper a hot chocolate, and our waiter brought him not one, not two, but three free macaroons (plus 2 almond chocolate things and one macaroon in a bag to go, and a free bottle of water).
It would have been too rude to say no (plus Jasper would have lost it), but he definitely did not need all that sugar today. Luckily he still ate his dinner because of a game that he and Pat play where they count the items he eats in Spanish. He ate over 20 spiral pasta noodles because he wanted to hear Pat say the next Spanish number. Yesterday Jasper corrected our pronunciation of Cadiz in Spanish (and he was right), so it will be interesting to see what else he picks up from our time here!
