Day 11- Excelsior!

Route: Madison, Wisconsin- Excelsior, Minnesota

Distance traveled: 444 km

After some morning tent play time, we got back on the Interstate and headed towards Minnesota. We are getting better at timing our breaks to avoid car meltdowns by Jasper, but there were still a few trying moments in the car. He has started drooling a lot and biting everything he can get his hands on. I hope he's not starting teething already!

We arrived at Ann's place in Excelsior, just outside of Minneapolis at about 3pm.  After a tour of her beautiful lakefront house and throwing in some laundry, we went for a walk around the town of Excelsior.  We stopped for dinner at Maynard's restaurant on the lake, which I'm told Uncle Glen loved when he came to visit.

Camping's not bad, but it sure it nice to have a bed, especially one looking out on the lake. Thanks Ann for letting us stay with you!
