Day 13- North Dakota

Route: Excelsior, Minnesota- New Salem, North Dakota
Distance Driven:  741 km

Today we got well acquainted with the I-94 on our way through North Dakota. The speed limit is 70 mph, so we make pretty good time while we're driving.  Jasper had a good driving day, so we didn't have to stop as much.  Once I got sick of reading him the books we brought, I started reading the North Dakota tourism brochure to keep him occupied.  Jasper thought it was especially hilarious to hear about the fact that North Dakota has 89 publicly owned airports. He laughed and laughed about that one. One of these time I'll have to try to capture his giggles on video to post on here.  I won't post any screaming video!

We stopped for the night around dusk at a public campground in New Salem, home of the world's largest Holstein cow.  The campground was just a field beside the football field, and we awoke in the morning to the football team practicing.  Tomorrow, we're going to get as close to Yellowstone as we can.
