Day 8- Hitting the road for real

Route: Parry Sound- Sault Ste Marie
Distance driven: 471 km

This seems very strange to be posting this from our tent in the Soo.  We stopped for the night at a KOA campground, and the whole place has wifi!  Pat can check his sports scores and I can update the blog.  Such luxury!

This morning, we stayed at the cottage to visit with Shelly, Regan and Hailey who came in from North Bay for the day.  It was a great surprise to get to see them before we left.  We delayed our start time until 1 pm so we could hang out in the morning and go swimming.

Jasper had a pretty fussy day today, which made for some trying moments on the road.  I switched to the back seat to entertain him for a while.  We read Squishy Turtle about a dozen times and he finally fell asleep.  He's usually fussier in the evenings, so hopefully our morning drives will be easier. Onward to Milwaukee tomorrow!
