Day 9- Into the USA

Route: Sault Ste Marie- Cascade, Wisconsin
Distance driven: 593 km

After a fussy evening, we woke up to this little happy camper in the tent. I discovered that Jasper actually enjoys tummy time when it's on my Thermarest, since it's soft when he bangs his nose.
Happy camper in the morning.
After a lazy morning packing up to leave, we crossed the border into the USA.  It was Jasper's first time out of Canada and the first time using his passport. His passport photo was taken when he was 3 weeks old, and it is pretty hilarious.
KOAs have fancy kitchens!
We drove all day through the Upper Peninsula in Michigan and then into Wisconsin, stopping every few hours to feed Jasper or ourselves.  We took turns sitting in the back seat to entertain Jasper while he was fussy. I think we'll have to hit up a used book store soon, because the 6 books we brought are already getting old.
Pit stop on Lake Michigan.
The State Park I'd planned to camp at was full, so we went inland to one of the suggested overflow spots.  It was more of a permanent trailer park than campsite, and no one had registered since July 28, but it did the trick for the night.
