Day 16- Laundry day in Montana

Route: Yellowstone- Deer Lodge, Montana
Distance driven: 359 km

On our way out of the park, we stopped at Mammoth Hot Springs and did a walk around the springs. Saturdays sure can be busy at Yellowstone!

Jasper was down to his last couple diapers, so we decided to have a shorter driving day and stop at a KOA with laundry, wifi and showers.  We used the old cottage trick of bathing the baby in the cooler bin.
Cooler bath time.
Once we were all cleaned up, we wandered over to the tri-county Rodeo happening in town.  Deer Lodge is a pretty interesting little place, it looks like it could be from a Western movie, but it is pretty run down.  There is a siren that goes off every night at 10 pm as a curfew. From here at the campground, we can still hear the rodeo, and lots of other strange sounds that are hard to identify.  It's a far cry from the wilderness of Yellowstone last night! Tomorrow we head for Washington State.
