Route: Whitehorse
Distance driven: < 20 km
Our first full day in the Yukon was a rainy one, so we went to the MacBride museum of Yukon History to learn a bit about the territory. There were lots of stuffed animals including an albino moose and some wolverines.

We went for lunch downtown and went for a brief stroll down to the river. We witnessed a bunch of local characters signing an anti-conservative ballad called "Harperman" to mark the Prime Minister's visit to Whitehorse today. We also saw the Yukon river.

Jasper and Warren had several opportunities to interact with one another throughout the day. Warren is a very gracious host, even offering Jasper a suck on his pacifier while we were waiting for photos to print in Walmart. Jasper politely declined, but did allow Warren to jam his finger in deep enough for a good chomp.

Warren also let Jasper play with some of the toys that he had outgrown, even demonstrating how some of them worked. There is no Gabriola Island time machine here, but plenty of cool toys kept Jasper interested all afternoon.

We've decided to spend the long weekend camping in Northern BC with Katie, Jason, and Warren, so there will most likely be no blog again for the next few days.
