Day 43- Liard Hotsprings

Route: Whitehorse- Liard River
Distance driven: 644 km

Today was our first long day of driving since we arrived in Vancouver three weeks ago. Jasper had his best day of driving yet, sleeping most of the time and happily playing for the rest. I think his sleepiness is because he still has a bit of a cold, so I hope all the rest will help him get completely better.
Happy boy with his new toy from the Durands.
We made a few pit stops along the way, at a a diner in Teslin and then the signpost forest in Watson Lake. There are over 80,000 signs on posts in a park on the side of the highway. We didn't bring our own sign to put up, but we did find a Jasper sign, and it was interesting to walk around and look at the signs.
At the signpost forest in Watson Lake.
We stopped for the night at Liard Hotsprings Provincial Park, and took Jasper for a swim in the springs. It was really hot in the top pool closest to the spring, but we were able to swim with him in the lower pool where the water started to mix with the cold river.
Ready for a swim at Liard Hotsprings.
A bit warmer than the Pacific Ocean.
Still playing with the molecule toy at the campsite.
