Day 50 - Drumheller

Route: Drumheller AB to Maple Creek SK
Distance Driven: 348 km

We got up in the morning and went straight to the dinosaur museum in Drumheller.  There were tons of kids there literally shaking with excitement in anticipation of seeing dinosaurs.  Jasper was pretty pumped too.  There were lots of big fossils that were found in Alberta.

The terrifying T. Rex, ferocious king of the lizards!!!!

There was a 1km walk outside of the museum to see some examples of the badlands geology that these fossils were found in.  There were ground squirrels running around all over the place.  It was warm enough that Pat got a good sweat going where Jasper was pressed against him, very strange to think that we were walking through snow just 2 days ago in the same province.

After the museum we drove over to the other side of town to check out some Hoo Doos.  Then we drove through the prairies until Jasper had a meltdown in the back seat, and pulled over at the first camp site we saw.  According to our GPS device, we are less than 24 hours drive from Kincardine now.  On to Regina tomorrow.
